Please Note: Iowa requires you to complete four (4) reemployment activities, three (3) of which must be job applications, each week you are filing for unemployment insurance benefits.

To assist you in reentering the workforce, Iowa Workforce Development Career Planners will be contacting you soon as part of the Reemployment Case Management (RCM) program to review reemployment activities and job searches, connect you with reemployment services, including referrals to other workforce training and education programs, and to discuss your job interviews, if applicable. If you are required to participate in the program, failure to complete reemployment activities and participate in reemployment services will result in the denial of unemployment insurance benefits - including the requirement to repay benefits you have already been paid.

If your participation is required, you will be contacted. Participation in the RCM program will be based on Iowa Workforce Development's (IWD) case-by-case examination of a claimant's work history and relationship to his or her employer.

Most people are required to complete four (4) reemployment activities each week. If the requirement for you to complete reemployment activities is waived, you will be notified after you have filed your claim. Please ensure your contact information is kept up to date.
